Sean has always been interested in the intersection of community, entrepreneurship and sustainability. His initial company G.R.O.W. (Gratitude, Respect, Objectivity, and We) grew out of a college class - Art, Community and Technology. His initial goal was to build a greenhouse at his former middle and high school in Troy, NY. That project let to a whole host of collaborations that sparked an abundance of ideas of how to connect the youth of his community to various ideas around sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Currently, Sean has closed G.R.O.W. to pursue a graduate degree at UCLA, but his story and activities still form the core of our Community Designers curriculum module, that includes elementary lessons that can be used in ELA, math, science, art and social studies classes. Click here to learn more.
