Our Mission

To spark early interest in STEM and boost the number of STEM-inspired students entering middle school through the introduction of entrepreneurs and innovators into the classroom.

You can’t be what you can’t see.

Famously attributed to Marian Wright Edelman (an American activist for children's rights and under-represented Americans in general), the quote above highlights the importance of representation in a child’s development of self and what they believe is possible for their future.
CreositySpace believes in, and supports the importance of, representation. We consider it a priority when selecting featured, highlighted, and student entrepreneurs. While there is always room for improvement, we endeavor to do the following:
  • Select entrepreneurs who are of an age elementary students can easily relate to; and
  • Select entrepreneurs who represent the diversity of people in science including, women, BIPOC, immigrants or non-native English-speakers, and those with physical challenges.

Making STEM Real in the Classroom!

Connect kids to STEM with real-life Entrepreneurs/Innovators and hands-on activities based on their technology
  • Supporting K-5 Teachers with curriculum, investigations, and materials that are standards-based, and fully support Next Generation Science Standards and  New York State Science Learning Standards while supporting Common Core (ELA & Math) Standards. CreositySpace materials can be delivered solely during science instructional time or can be delivered across all subjects, tying together ELA, math, science, engineering and social studies.
  • Digital Entrepreneur Presentations. accompanied by our investigations and Lesson Guides, introduce young minds to the variety of ways STEM is present in their lives and the wide spectrum of people who use STEM knowledge every day.

Supporting STEM Entrepreneurs/Innovators

Entrepreneurs/Innovators present their technology in classrooms, fulfill grant outreach requirements, and gain brand awareness.
Our platform connects educators with entrepreneurs and innovators
  • “Find A STEM Company” Locator lets you easily search for STEM companies to show your students how people are building businesses around the things they are learning. (Full Locator under development)
  • Real-life Innovators Showcase Their Technology to Support Educators We capture the entrepreneur's technology in K-5th grade-level presentations and activities; introduce the career role-model; showcase their company online and in our 'Find A STEM Company' Locator; feature their business in a kids book series.
